In the early days, MDC supplied and repaired mechanical weighing scales, the technology of that time. By the late 1970s, we transitioned to distributing electronic weighing scales locally, quickly establishing ourselves as a key player in the weighing industry. In 1988, MDC became the first weighing scale company accredited under SINGLAS (Singapore Laboratory Accreditation Scheme) for Calibration and Measurement. Additionally, MDC was appointed by the Weights & Measures Office Singapore as an Authorized Verifier for Non-Automatic Weighing Instruments, Petrol, Diesel, and CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) Dispensing Pumps—currently, we are the only Authorized Verifier in Singapore with these three combined categories.

While maintaining our leadership in the Weights and Measures sector, MDC has grown into a multi-disciplinary engineering company, offering a wide range of specialized services. In addition to supplying weighing, quality control, packaging, and processing equipment, our skilled team provides Plant Concept Design, Process Automation & Control Systems, Process Equipment Integration, Project Management, and Building & Construction services. MDC offers Design & Build and Total Solution services across various industries.
