• The Public Service Medal 2020 awarded to our Managing Director, Mr. Sim Chuan San

  

MDC Group would like to congratulate our Managing Director, Mr. Sim Chuan San for receiving The Public Service Medal 2020 awarded by the Prime's Minister's Office for rendering commendable public service in Singapore towards the society.

San is humbled to receive such an award and dedicates the award to the company, MDC Group, stating that the support of the staff and company contributed greatly towards the acts of service that he was awarded for.

"I wouldn't have been able to receive this award if not for the moral and physical support from the company staff. I will aim to lead the company to continue contributing back to society with consistent participation in charity events and public service acts such as service week, where we adopt two residential blocks to provide our help and service every year to improve their quality of life. We will strive to be a better company, partner and employer and ask for your support and faith in the upcoming future."

Malayan Daching (MDC) is proud to announce that we have successfully passed our yearly surveillance audit for our ISO 9001:2015 and ISO14001:2015 certification conducted recently by SOCOTEC Certification Singapore (SCS) with no non-compliances, no observations and no findings.

We have also successfully migrated from BS OHSAS 18001:2007 to the newly revised standard ISO 4500:2018.

With the implementation of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS), our performance will be enhanced to integrate and align with our objectives. Through QMS, we will also be able to effectively measure our performance and continuously improve our core processes based on a third party’s findings and recommendations.

ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) certifies that our operations are compliant with environmental laws and regulations, as well as reduce our consumption of excessive energy and materials. Through the application of EMS, we will be able to continuously improve our environmental performance while implementing a systematic approach to set and achieve our environmental objectives and targets.

Through the migration to ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Safety and Health Management System (OSHMS), we aim to eliminate and minimize risk to all employees and interested parties from any exposed OHS risks associated with our activities and to improve operational efficiency through reduction of accident management and operational downtime. One of the key changes include more emphasis on the concept of risk management and the integration of OHS in the management of the business with greater focus on demonstrating compliance of the system.

With the thorough assessment and review during the surveillance audits, you can be rest assured that our standards and objectives that we value deeply are well-maintained and executed. We are committed to doing our best to provide you with continuous quality services, executing your projects in the safest way possible, and making our best efforts to keep our environment clean and sustainable for our future generations to live in.

2015

• Established Viscotech Asia Pte Ltd (VAPL).
• Awarded the Green & Gracious Building Award by the Building and Construction Association (BCA).

2014

• Opening of Malayan Daching Heritage Gallery to showcase the artefacts used for measurements and trading during the early colonial days of Singapore, dating back to the 1800’s. Numerous artefacts were donated by SPRING Singapore.
• Established MDC Tech Centre Pte Ltd (MTC).

2012

• Moved to current 5-storey office/factory premise at: 5 Tanjong Penjuru Crescent, total size: 5107 sqm (GFA).
• Certified to ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System.

2009

• Awarded bizSAFE STAR Certificate by Workplace Safety and Health Council.
• Incorporation of Malayan Daching (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia.

2008

• Awarded Singapore 500 SME (Small Medium Enterprise) Company 2008.
